Pour s’entrainer à la prononciation, ou simplement pour essayer de les comprendre, Eve a enregistré les saynètes…

1 – How old are you ?

2 – « At the doctors »
– Hello doctor. I’m not feeling well.
– What’s wrong ?
– I have a stomach ache.
– Do you have a headache ?
– Yes, I have a headache and I think I have a fever too.
– I’ll take your temperature. Wow, your temperature is 40 degrees !
– Oh no ! I’m really sick.
– Take this medicine and rest. You will feel better soon.
– Thank you doctor.

3 – At the supermarket
– What do you want for dinner tonight ?
– How about pizza ?
– No, I had pizza yesterday.
– How about soup ?
– No, I don’t want soup.

– I can get the tortillas, cheese and salsa.

– Well, we have some great offers. You can go to Italy, France or Spain by train. Or, you can travel to Iceland by plane.

– I don’t like Spain. It’s too hot.
– Oh – France should be perfect. It has beautiful weather.

– Three pounds and fifty pence, please. (£ 3.50)

– Here’s your ticket ! Have a nice day !

6 – At the pharmacy

– I have a cold. What medicine can you give me ?
– Take these pills three times a day for three days. If you are still feeling sick, please go to the doctor.
– How much are they?
– Four pounds and twenty pence. (£ 4.20)
– Here you go! Thank you, have a nice day !
– Thank you! Get well soon !

7 – Directions to the theater
– Excuse me, madam’. Where is the movie theater ?
– You need to go straight ahead.
– OK.
– Then turn left on Washington Road. After the bank, turn right. Cross the road and the movie theater is on the right. It’s a big red building.
– It’s on the right ?
– Yes.
– OK, thank you.
– You’re welcome.
– Have a good day !
– You too !
– Bye.

8 – « In the classroom »

9 – Making afternoon plans

– How about going to the cinema ? Star Wars is on.
– I don’t like Star Wars. Is there something else we can do ?

– We could go to a restaurant ?
– That would be nice, but I’m not very hungry.

– I forgot about the match. Who is playing ?
– France is playing Germany in the World Cup.
– That’s a great idea. I love football

10 – The perfect holiday
– Where do you want to go on holiday ?
– I think I want to go to Germany
– But it’s winter, and it’s cold in Germany
– Yes, but I have a friend who lives in Berlin. She is German and we can visit her.
– I would prefer Italy. It is warmer and my family is Italian. What do you think ?
– Oh, I like Italy and I love Italian food !
– Then maybe we can visit Italy and Germany ?
– I don’t think there is time. Our holiday is only 5 days.

11 – PicNic

Julien :Do you want to have a picnic ?
Sam : Yeah ! That would be fun ! I love sandwiches
Becky : I prefer chicken and pasta
Julien : Can you play frisbee ?
Becky : I can. Let’s play !

12 – Shopping

– What about a Union Jack T-shirt or an underground map T shirt?
– Well… I’m not sure. He’s a big fan of Harry Potter. Do you have any Harry Potter T-shirts?
-I’ve got a nice Gryffindor hoodie for £32(thirty-two pounds) or a Gryffindor T-shirt for £16 (sixteen pounds).
– I’ll take the hoodie please.
– What size do you need? Small, medium or large?
– Medium, please.
– Here you are!
– Thank you.

13 – « At the zoo »
– Hello., welcome to the London zoo !
– Hello, how much is a ticket to the zoo ?
– That depends, a normal ticket costs 20 £, but if you want to see the lions and the tigers, it will cost 30£.
– What animals can I see with a normal ticket ?
– You can see lots of animals. For example, monkeys, elephants, giraffes aand penguins. And you can even see sharks in the aquarium!
– Ah ! I don’t like sharks, they are scary ! But I love elephants, they’re my favorite animal. What time does the zoo close ?
